This site is an authorized government resource for all HIV/AIDS treatment guidelines, including adult and adolescent, pediatric, and perinatal populations. HIV Drug Resistance Mutations from the International AIDS Society-USA
The HIV Drug Resistance Mutations page of the International AIDS Society-USA (IAS-USA) provides an updated list of mutations that may affect drug effectiveness. This mutation list is compiled by the IAS-USA Drug Resistance Mutations Group. National Health Care for the Homeless Council

Pediatric and Adolescent Treatment

Ryan White Program Resources
HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau
The HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) manages all programs funded under the Ryan White Program. In the Spring of 2003, CDC published guidelines on quality assurance practices for sites using or planning to use the OraQuick Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test to detect antibodies to the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Fair Pricing Coalition - Patient Assistance and Co-Pay Programs
Over the years, the Fair Pricing Coalition (FPC) has addressed patient health insurance co-payment (co-pay) programs and patient drug assistance programs (PAPs) for people living with HIV and/or viral hepatitis. The FPC has negotiated co-pay programs with virtually every major HIV drug manufacturer. The FPC is also working on expanding PAPs and making it easier for people to access them, especially for people who have been put on waiting lists for state AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs). International Training and Education Center on HIV (I-TECH)

MedActionPlan
A free resource for healthcare providers to record patient treatment regimens in order to improve adherence. The program allows patients to access and print a daily medication schedule, which includes special instructions; a weekly medication checklist; and a health tracker to monitor vital signs. Clinicians and pharmacists can visit the website to request a starter kit. MyMedSchedule is a web-based program that schedules and reminds patients to take their medications and how much to take, and provides pictures of pills for easy identification.
National Clinicians' Post-Exposure Prophylaxis Hotline (PEPline)
PEPline is a 24-hour hotline providing fast and up-to-date information for clinicians who need advice on treating health care workers who experienced occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens. On-line information on post-exposure prophylaxis is available on PEPnet.
National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF)

National HIV/AIDS Clinician's Consultation Center
The NCCC is a component of the national AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs) program located at the University of California, San Francisco at San Francisco General Hospital. National Library of Medicine HIV/AIDS Resources
The National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library, sponsors MEDLINE with access to journal citations and HIV/AIDS-related newsletters (approximately 1,000 new citations are added each month). Perinatal HIV Transmission Prevention
The University of South Florida Center for HIV Education and Research operates the Perinatal HIV Transmission Prevention project through a grant funded by the Florida Department of Health. The project provides education and training to Florida healthcare professionals on the prevention and treatment of HIV transmission between mother and child. Projects In Knowledge is an accredited provider of medical education for physicians and health professionals on topics, such as "Managing Anemia for patients on Anti HCV Therapy" where experts offer models of care from other diseases that physicians may apply to benefit their patients. A series of monograph's are available on the management of co-infections, as well as a syllabus or interactive CD-ROM from a satellite symposium on the same subject. A webcast highlights data on pegylated formulations of interferon.

ICEHA is a non profit organization of physicians and nurses who volunteer their expertise on HIV care and infectious diseases to resource-poor countries in order to equip the local healthcare professionals with the skills needed to take care of their own patients and enable resource-poor countries to fight the HIV epidemic from within.
International Training and Education Center on HIV (I-TECH)
Located in the University of Washington Department of Global Health, the International Training and Education Center on HIV (I-TECH) promotes activities that increase human capacity for HIV/AIDS care and support in countries hardest hit by the AIDS epidemic. The site outlines access to technical assistance on: assessment of needs and capacity, HIV/AIDS care and treatment, training and instructional design, and monitoring and evaluation. Packaged materials and tools (including slides and PowerPoint presentations to download) are available on many subjects including curriculum development and training strategies.
UNESCO'S Strategy for HIV/AIDS Prevention
Under the umbrella of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) focuses on preventive education in the broadest sense, including advocacy at all levels, customizing the message, changing risk behavior, caring for the infected and the affected, coping with the institutional impact of the epidemic, as well as information-sharing and capacity-building to achieve these tasks.
World Health Organization (WHO)
The World Health Organization, the United Nations directing and coordinating authority on international health, was established in 1948. The HIV/AIDS Department provides evidence-based technical support to member states to help them upgrade treatment, care, and prevention services in addition to drugs and diagnostic supplies.
