Keeping with the Pace XIX: An HIV Update

ON-LINE VIDEO RE-BROADCAST

We are pleased to announce the availability of the on-line video re-broadcast of the Keeping With the Pace 2011 program. Please click on the links listed below to view the video recordings. Sessions 1 & 2 are in the first link and Sessions 3 & 4 are in the second link. Once you have finished viewing all of the presentations, click on the Continuing Education and Evaluation survey link and complete all of the questions in the survey.

The survey contains all of the information needed for you to receive CE/CME credits including a post-test as required by the American Medical Association for CME Enduring credits. The survey also includes an overall program evaluation as well as individual session evaluations. Once you have completed the survey it will be submitted for review. If you obtain a passing score of 80% or greater on the post test portion of the evaluation, you will receive your certificate and awarded the credits (up to 4.0 hrs) within 4 – 6 weeks of your submission. If you do not receive a passing score, you will receive an email indicating such and you will then be able to complete the survey again.

Current and Emerging Issues in HIV

Utilizing one or more patient cases, the presenter will describe important updates to the most recent adult/adolescent treatment guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The speaker will also discuss recently approved drugs and drugs on the horizon including their potential role in the management of HIV.

Handling Challenging Clients

The speaker will describe tools that can be utilized to redirect clients so they don’t zap your energy and make you cranky.  Some of the tools discussed will include the importance of monitoring your energy, identifying challenging clients, redirecting the “misbehavior” and ways to improve your energy.

The Future of Treatment for Latent Tuberculosis Infection
