The F/C AETC is proudly replicating the Project ECHO™ model (Extending Community Health Outcomes) created by the University of New Mexico (http://echo.unm.edu/). This model uses a live audio-video-based platform to provide educational experiences through the creation of a learning network comprised of clinicians serving HIV/AIDS patients (novice to expert) throughout our region. These sessions will contain brief didactic presentations, case presentations, and an opportunity for networking. Additionally, CME/CEU will be available to participating physicians, dentists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists. Space is limited to 35 participating locations so early registration is recommended.
As the need arises, additional clinics by specialty topic may be added. Please see the current clinic schedules below:
Clinic Schedules
>>HIV BASIC CARE CLINIC
The clinic will consist of a brief didactic presentation on a current HIV Treatment issue followed by an interactive discussion of case(s) submitted in advance by participants. Cases can address questions related to treatment, adherence, social issues, challenges encountered, best practices that you would like to share, or concerns that would benefit from consultation with an expert in the field of General HIV Treatment.
