Metabolic Issues of HIV

Dr. Pablo Tebas will be sharing recent developments in metabolic disorders and HIV that were presented at CROI 2010. During this timely presentation, he will provide a review of lipid disorders, fat distribution, and cardiovascular problems associated with HAART and HIV. He will additionally address HIV and bone implications, Vitamin D, malignancies and hepatitis/HIV co-infection. While sharing the current treatment guidelines and information from recent research studies, Dr. Tebas will provide a practical approach to managing patients with varying metabolic disorders.
