Case Conferences

HIV/AIDS Case conferences are held at community-based organizations and other locations throughout the region. Participants present their problematic cases for discussion by AETC faculty. State-of-the-art treatment consultation is provided and continuing education credit is available.

Nurses (ANCC):

This activity for 5 contact hours is provided by the University of South Florida College of Nursing, which is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Each nurse should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Psychologists:

The University of South Florida College of Medicine is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. This activity is offered for up to 5 hours of continuing education credit. The University of South Florida College of Medicine maintains responsibility for the program.

Florida Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors:


The University of South Florida College of Public Health is an approved provider (BAP#433 – Exp. 3/31/09) of continuing education credits for clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, and mental health counseling. This activity has been reviewed and approved for up to 5 hours.


Physicians:

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 2 Elective credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. The AAFP invites comments on any activity that has been approved for AAFP CME credit. Please forward your comments on the quality of this activity to cmecomment@aafp.org.
